Aortic Dissection after the Pfizer injection

This article discusses an autopsy performed on a 90-year-old man with pericarditis and aortic dissection after a third Pfizer COVID jab.

The case report was from Japan and published in Legal Medicine on November 2022.

Case Report

A male in his 90s who is a non-smoker and non-alcohol drinker consulted a doctor because he experienced several days of general fatigue and shortness of breath after receiving a booster dose of the Pfizer shot.

A CXR and blood tests were done. The EKG did not show any abnormal change. He was diagnosed with heart failure, but he refused to be hospitalized. He was prescribed water pills for three days, which relieved his symptoms.

However, he was found dead on the morning of the fourth day after consultation and approximately two weeks before death.

An autopsy revealed dissection of the ascending aorta and pericardial hemotamponade.

Aortic dissection

Aortic dissection is when the blood inside the aorta enters the inner lining of the aorta. As the blood splits the layers of the aorta apart, it creates a false lumen.

In this case, the tear in the aorta went thru all the layers of the aorta, and blood went into the pericardial sac surrounding the heart.

The blood inside the sac prevents the heart from expanding to receive blood that it will pump. This condition is called cardiac tamponade, which is the immediate cause of this patient’s death.

The coronary arteries showed mild atherosclerosis.

The microscopic examination showed that all the layers of the heart contained inflammatory immune cells (CD3 + and CD8 + cytotoxic T cells and CD79a + B cells).

The inflamed aortic tissues under the microscope look similar to the specimens of Dr. Arne Burkhardt that I published yesterday. New and Alarming Autopsy Findings after the COVID shots. The only difference is that, unlike the pathologists from Germany,  no staining was done to identify spike proteins in this autopsy.

Viral cause of pericarditis ruled out

Viruses can cause pericarditis. In this patient, parvovirus-B19, cytomegalovirus, coxsackie virus-A4, ECHO virus-11 and −14, adenovirus, and influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2) and B (B-1 and B-2) viruses were all ruled out as a cause.

Positive anti-Spike antibody

The serum was positive for anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike protein IgG antibody (583 AU/mL). The level of the anti-spike IgG is mild, according to the authors.

Comment

Based on my experience working in New York state as an emergency room physician, a medical examiner will refuse this case because of his age. Therefore the cause of his death will be “natural causes.”

However, with the autopsy result, the cause of death on the death certificate can be filled in as,

Cardiac hemotamponade due to aortic dissection and pericarditis due to Pfizer BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine.

This man was 90 years old, but apparently, he was living independently and presumably healthy. He didn’t smoke, was not a drinker, had mild coronary atherosclerosis, and lived in Japan. He could have lived another five to ten years.

Sadly, an experimental gene therapy shot caused his premature death.
