Start with Why?
Why are you fasting? You have to know the answer. You have to write it down.
Is it to make your abdomen smaller?
Is it to get rid of all those bad stuff inside you making you insulin resistant?
Is it to control your blood sugar and take fewer medications?
Is it to lower your blood pressure?
Is it to lower your triglycerides and increase your HDL?
Is it to save money because you may need fewer medications in the future?
Is it to lower your risk for ischemic heart disease, strokes, and dementia?
Is it to avoid or delay diabetes complications like dialysis, gangrene, and blindness?
Is it to finally avoid those gout attacks?
Is it to have regular menses again?
Is it to lose weight and relieve your knees and ankles of all that pressure and maybe take fewer pain medications?
Is it to avoid the side effects of the medications you are taking because you won’t need them in the future?
Is it to get rid of that rash that has been plaguing you since you gained weight?
Is it to prevent cancer?
Is it to get rid of that “brain fog” and have a clearer mind?
Is it to feel lighter and maybe play ball with the kids again?
Is it to have a better body and fit into that black dress again?
Is it to do more activity on that next vacation?
Is it to have control of your health and be a master of your destiny?
What’s your purpose?
Keep that goal in mind as you go fast.
Seek, and you shall find.
The body will adjust to meet your purpose.
