The Slow Boil of the Populations

My previous article, Decreased Number of Births in Countries with the Highest COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake, described the lower birth rates the year after the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out in the most vaccinated countries in the world.

In this piece, I aimed to look at the data of the least vaccinated countries and compare them to see if there is any difference.

The image below is from the bottom of the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center list, showing the least jabbed countries by percentage. The website image is interactive and shows the percentages as you scroll through them.

Unfortunately, the following countries, Burundi 0.28% vaccinated by at least one dose, Yemen 3.41%, Haiti 3.5%, Papua New Guinea 4.2%, and Madagascar 8.42%, do not have any demographic data for 2022 yet.

Others only have estimated data from the United Nations. I don’t care for those. I only used the ones with government data.

So I just went up the list until I saw countries with official government demographics on their population. Typically, they have until 2022.

What I saw surprised me. In all of them, the average population per year grows. However, a deeper look at live births, deaths, natural changes in population, and their rates projects a concerning trend toward depopulation.

Definitions

Live births are the number of births in a year. Deaths are the number of people who died from any cause for the year.

Natural Change is the number of live births minus the deaths.

The Crude Birth Rate (CBR) measures the number of births per 1,000 people.

Crude Death Rate refers to the number of deaths occurring throughout a year per 1000 population of a country.

Natural Change in Population per 1,000 is CBR minus CDR

2021 is when the COVID-19 vaccines were started in all countries.

Is 2019 the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic?

2020 is the official start of the pandemic. However, deaths have started to rise in 2019, like in Jamaica. Could it be that SARS-CoV-2 was already present in some countries a year before?

It has been reported that SARS-CoV-2 was detected in 2019 in Spain, Italy, France, Brazil, and the US.

Algeria, 17.88% Had at least one COVID-19 shot

Algeria is a country in North Africa that used Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine, the Oxford–AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, and the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Notable is that in 2021, the first year of the COVID-19 shots, there were no increased deaths (200,840) compared to 2020 (235,628), the pandemic year.

The reason is that many people, the most vulnerable to COVID-19, died in 2020 (235,628). These are the same age group susceptible to vaccine complications.

In 2022 and 2023, the Crude Birth Rate dropped to 20.6 and 19.6, the lowest since 2003. From 2003 to 2021, it ranged from 20.4 to 26.1.

Live births in 2022 (923,648) decreased by 9.6% compared to 2021 (950,890). In 2023, it lowered again (895,418) by another 9.6% relative to 2022.

Crude Death Rate is stable and decreased to 4.3 in 2023. The previous 5-year average was 4.64.

The 2023 natural change in population decreased by 32,013 to 697,248—the lowest since 2010. Natural change is Live Births minus Total Deaths (895,418-697,248).

Looking only at the Average Population, which increased in 2023, it still looks OK because there was no drop. However, there was a significant decrease in population growth, as shown by the natural change (697,248) and its rate (15.3). The last time it was 15.3 was in 2002.

In Moldova, 27.48% had at least one COVID-19 shot

The Republic of Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, on the northeastern corner of the Balkans.

The COVID-19 Vaccines Used in Moldova

  • Modified RNA – Pfizer and Moderna
  • Non-Replicating Viral-Vector Convidecia, Sputnik V, Johnson and Johnson, Astra Zeneca, Covishield
  • Inactivated – Sinopharm (Covilo), Sinovac (Coronavac)

At the start of the pandemic in 2020, deaths increased by 1.11% compared to 2019.

In 2021, at the start of the COVID-19 shots, the deaths spiked to a record 45,464—the highest since 1997. In was 40,717 in 2020.

At the beginning of the shots in 2021, live births decreased to 29,320, the lowest level since 1997. It continued to decline in 2022, at 26,952. The previous 5-year range of live births was 30,834-40,717 (2016-2020)

This is why the population’s Natural Change was the lowest, at -16,144 in 2021. This is higher than during the 2020 pandemic when it was -9.883. In 2022, it continued its decline at -9,205.

The first two years of COVID-19 vaccination in Moldova, 2021 and 2022, resulted in a negative Natural change in Population (per 1000) at -6.2 and -3.6, respectively. Other than 2020, it was never this low.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, 28.75% had at least one COVID-19 shot

Bosnia and Herzegovina, sometimes known as Bosnia-Herzegovina and informally as Bosnia, is a country in Southeast Europe situated on the Balkan Peninsula.

COVID-19 Vaccines used according to the COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker

  • mRNA – Pfizer
  • Non-Replicating Viral-Vector Convidecia, Sputnik V, and Astra Zeneca
  • Inactivated – Sinopharm (Covilo), Sinovac (Coronavac)

2021, the start of the COVID-19 vaccination, has 49,682 deaths. This is more than when the pandemic began in 2020 (43,808), also a record year of deaths with the most virulent SARS-CoV-2 strains of D614G, Alpha, Beta, and Delta).

2021 also had the lowest live births at 26,993—the lowest since 1947. (1992 to 1995 were excluded because of the war.) 2022 continued the decline in live births at 26,516.

There has been a general decline in population since 1991 when it peaked at 4,377,033. The war in the 1990s killed a lot of people, with the resulting population at 3,368,597 in 1996.

Since 2019, there has been a five-digit negative natural change in the population, but the COVID-19 vaccination has accelerated this negative natural change.

Less live births and more deaths combined to make the 2022 population of Bosnia 3,358,496, the lowest since 1962.

Jamaica: 28.77% had at least one dose of the COVID-19 shot

The trend in Jamaica is the same as in previous countries. A spike in deaths in 2021, 26,974.

In 2022, two years after the use of the “safe and effective” vaccines, the number of deaths (21,390) still outpaced the pandemic level in 2020 of 20,238

There was a decrease in live births in the first two years of the COVID shots: 33,126 and 31,276 for 2021 and 2022, respectively. These numbers are the lowest since 1922.

Overall, the natural change in population for 2021 and 2022 of 6,152 and 9.886, respectively, are the lowest since 1917

The Natural change per 1,000 for 2021 and 2022 (3.6 and 2.3) is also the lowest since 1918.

Again, the average population may seem to increase over the years, but the rate of increase, as shown by natural change, is slower.

Why the decreasing live births?

The spike protein from a COVID-19 infection and its vaccine can go to the testes and produce spike proteins, as evidenced by autopsies from Germany.

The lipid nanoparticle in the Pfizer and Moderna shots can go to the ovaries in animal studies from Japan. Read more about them at:

Conclusion

With the advent of COVID-19 shots, the population of countries that used them shows a decrease in live births and an increase in deaths that continue until 2022.

The low births and high number of deaths contribute to a stunt in population growth comparable to many decades ago.

The decrease in the total population is not apparent if only the population data is seen.

Years from now, many nations will suddenly discover that their population is continually decreasing, and people will wonder why. Just like these days when young people die and nobody knows why.

But you dear readers already know.

Like the frog, many vaccinated countries’ populations are at a slow boil.
